The lil French Canele

Looks may be deceiving.  I didn't try this little delicacy on my last trip to France as the little brown blob didn't look as appealing as all the other decadent treats on display, on the last day of our trip I decided to give it a go and was pleasantly surprised and regretted not trying the Canele earlier. 

With a caramelised crust and custardy centre the Canele has the perfect taste and texture, so good in fact I tracked down a Melbourne supplier and will be adding this treat to the Petite Pippin High Tea in Your Home menu.
