60th Birthday High Tea

Some may think of 60 as getting older, but it’s actually an amazing time in a person’s life where they can take stock of who they are and celebrate each new day with a renewed sense of self.

It's always nice to have friends and family around to celebrate birthdays, what is even nicer?  Seeing friends who have known each other for almost 40 years and can still happily reminisce and laugh.  Today's high tea was warm, beautiful and very special.

High Tea up and over the Dandenongs

Driving to today's function I think I experienced every season Melbourne had to offer.  I got so carried away with this magical country drive, I nearly missed my destination.

A small group of ladies thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon tea and tasting the different teas on the menu.

Happy 80th Birthday

Another gorgeous afternoon tea for a small group of friends and family to celebrate the 80th birthday of a lovely lady.

The back garden was set for guests to mingle or lounge at their leisure, and pop inside for a hot cup of tea when they were ready.

It sure makes my job easy when I get to meet such lovely social people.  I did have a chuckle when one of the guests misheard me and thought I was serving Mongolian Beef tea.

Hens Day High Tea

Whenever we venture out to rural properties I always get tingle knowing the setting will be perfect for a High Tea.

Today's celebration was organised by a group of ladies for a lucky hen.  Games, drinks and laughter were continuous throughout the day.

Tables were set with beautiful roses from the garden, which added to the Petite Pippin themed settings.  Guests moved from inside to out to take advantage of the warm day and then back in again to escape the heat.

High Tea christening

A beautiful trip over to Williamstown to assist a lovely client to help celebrate the christening of their baby boy.  A dream baby who smiled and giggled the entire day in between napping and being passed around to admirers.

80 guests from around the globe were invited to this event at Joan Kirner House, including a number of children who were lucky enough to have their own special high tea table.

High Tea by the lake

Well Melbourne, it has certainly been a while since you provided us with some good weather, luckily for today's High Tea the sun came out to shine, however I was in such a good mood focusing on the beautiful day I didn't think to take as many photos as usual.

A wonderful organisation offering therapeutic solutions were kind enough to engage Petite Pippin High Tea in Your Home to provide morning High Tea for their invited guests to view their products.   Certainly got me thinking about my wellbeing and what improvements I could make. Of course the key message for the day was sweet treats in moderation ;-)

2013 Red Ball

An ice cream truck parked in the foyer of Crown Palladium Ballroom, salsa dancers, auction items galore and a star studded red carpet made the 2013 Fight Cancer Council Red Ball Party a terrific success. Over 700 guests attended the event to raise in excess of $250,000.00. Petite Pippin were happy to again donate a High Tea in Your Home voucher for this amazing organisation, glad to hear the auction item sold for well over the asking price.

Girls Night In

The team at Petite Pippin are very proud to support charitable organizations.  We recently donated a “High Tea in Your Home for 10 people” for a Girls Night In fundraiser.  The Silent Auction item was hotly contested all night long, with the eventual highest bidder paying $100 over RRP!!!  We are very much looking forward to hosting a High Tea for the lucky bidder.

High Tea in the Mechanics workshop

Well, what can I say, this was such a fun afternoon in a different environment to what Petite Pippin are used to.  When I first met this client to discuss her 60th birthday celebration she only had one request "no beige please".  I knew from that moment we were going to have a lot of fun!!!

Her husband kindly opened his man cave to family and friends, while their son played gorgeous acoustic songs to entertain all guests (and us).   Toasts were made from milk jars filled with iced tea and the afternoon was effortlessly casual.

I highly recommend the cover band No One Knows for anyone who has a function coming up (their cover of Otis Redding's Sitting on the dock of the bay certainly set the tone for the day)

Spring Carnival High Tea

I made my way to central Heidelberg on Saturday to host a surprise high tea.  Our first weekend in a long time with stunning weather, guests made good use of the top floor balcony to sip on champagne and take in the Melbourne landscape.

Theme for the day was pink & yellow with all guests wearing fascinators to welcome in the spring carnival season.
